A Good one

It's ok to kiss a fool,It's ok to let a fool kiss you,but never ever let a kiss fool you....It's still best to wait for the one you wantthan settle for the one available.Best to wait for the one you lovethan settle for one who's around.Best to wait for the right one.Life is short to waste on the wrong person....It is better to meet the person who will truly love you later, than meet someone now who promises to loveyou but sooner or later leave you forever.....Never try to impress someone to make him/her fall in love with youIf you do, you will be expected to keep the standard for the rest of your life...Fate determines who comes into our lives. The heart determines who stays...!!!

If only – In the agony of love

If only – In the agony of love

Hello all. Today I took out a old copy to write some expenses, and I suddenly found a old poem. I had completely forgotten about it. It was written on 7th of march 2006 night at 11:30 Pm. The poem is inspired from the movie called “IF ONLY”. Seems like I must have gotten emotionally touched, and hence, must have ended up writing this poem. It’s my regular feature to end up writing a poem when emotionally touched. The poem is called,

In The Agony of Love

In few movements of being in love
I lived with you a life time.
To you only do I owe ,
Whatever I claim as mine.

Your “forget me not” smile, I behold in my eyes
Your gaze always intelligent and wise
I watch in amazement your innocence of a child.

I still hold and feel your breath
Even after the so called death
Please come back for moments at least few
Just once more to hear “ I LOVE YOU “

I lived only when near to you
I existed only when dear to you
Oh! Just spare moments just few
Just one more time to hear “I love you”

Irony of fate parts us two
Not a moment goes without thinking of you
But don’t you worry and you DO know
That I keep getting strength in the agony of love.

( Shreesh Tongaonkar)

Comments are welcome, but for the record this is the first time that I am publishing my poem on a blog. Please respect the privacy and don’t usurp the poem from here.

AN Inspiration

So I am charged again. Amongst the despair and the sad bad news I saw glad news. It was not news of some happy event but a series of sad events but which has taken a turn towards happiness. Not again automatically but by sheer will power and grit and determination of human spirit. I am still watching the news and as it is unfolding, I am getting agape.
It’s the story of a gal called Baby Haldar. A girl born in Kashmir, Her father was in army who was always absent form the home. And whenever he returned there would be fights between him and his wife. And once he left the home not to return to them. And one fine day when baby was 11 years old, her mom taking her younger brother told her that she is going to market. She went and never returned. So the girl, now left alone lived in homes of different relatives. She discovered that her father had married three times to different women. Having lost her all chances of studying after 7th standard, her relatives married her off at the age of 13 to a youth who was 26 years old.
With marriage started another long saga of physical and mental torture. The father as expected never cared about the 2 children they had and hence baby started working as housemaid. This resulted in further problems and her husband stopped giving any money for the house. Having suffered thus she left the house with her children. Now working at peoples homes as maid doing sweeping and cleaning. From one city to another Durgapur , Kolkatta ,Delhi and now Gudgaon . Here she met a family who treated her well. Having lost her education opportunity she was sad. Once, the head of the family an old man who everyone called “Tatush” (meaning father in Bengali) saw her trying to read. He encouraged her to read and write. And gave her a copy and a pen to write something. As she didn’t know what to write he asked her to write about her life. He used to read what she wrote and corrected her mistakes. He once told her that she was the grandson of “munshi premchand “.
Once it so happened that “Tatush “ gave her a Bengali magazine to read and she was flabbergasted to see her name and what she used to write in the magazine. And another day a publisher came to her home and asked permission to publish her whole series of articles as book. The book now is “ AALE ANDHARI” , already making waves in literature circles. “Tatush” himself translated her book in hindi. And now the book has been translated in many languages. A sweeper of yesterday is now today a writer.
Her children who used to be ashamed to telling about their mother’s profession now proudly say that “My mother is a writer”. When TV channel’s wanted to talk to “Tatush” he refused the interview. He didn’t speak anything on camera and just said one sentence “Maine jo kiya wo to bas kartavya tha”( what I did was just a duty as a human.).
This blog is not meant to promote her book or anything, but through this I wish to express my HATS OFF to her for her spirit to fight and live against odds and to “Tatush” for his being a really good and exemplary human being. My regards and Hats Off to both of them. May god bless such souls and inspire our spirits.

PSALM OF LIFE

Hello people, this is a poem of H.W.Longfellow , you can say that its my favourite poem.
I actully ,not only started liking & reading but also Writing poems only after our english teacher taught us this particular poem.
For me its a poem of great inspiration . Hopefully you people like ,and learn someting from it too..

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. 1807–1882

A Psalm of Life

TELL me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!—
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.

Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.

Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each to-morrow
Find us farther than to-day.

Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.

In the world's broad field of battle,
In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
Be a hero in the strife!

Trust no Future, howe'er pleasant!
Let the dead Past bury its dead!
Act,—act in the living Present!
Heart within, and God o'erhead!

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;

Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o'er life's solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.

Happy Birthday--Why The Hell ???

Last november.... A friend of mine had her birthday. She was a very close and a good friend..,as it is ..I didnt wish her...i remembered but i didn't wish her!!!! I was in a highly skeptical mood that day..also i was angry with her..she had a new boyfriend and as it is was romancing...but had started ignoring me..now iam not jelous or anything (believe me ..iam way past that attitude)..but it was imparing her develpoment....on various levels...and i was being bugged by a new question...
WHY THE HELL PEOPLE WISH EACH OTHER ON THE BIRTHDAY???
Not just her but me too...what i really had done that i should celebrate the day i was born..as it goes ...on my birthday i just relaise that another year has passed by ..and Have i really done something that i deserve to celebrate another year loss in my life...????? and when she called me next day and said "kya ree tu bhool gaya na mera birthday??" and i was like man i didnt forget it ..i seriously didn't feel like wishing you ...i mean ..what good have you done in the past year other than clearing your exams subjects???and now you are just fooling around with your boyfriend spending your money that your job is paying you ...whereas you should have looked forward to completing your graduation ..its a job you are doing..and mind well job is not a carrear.???....NOW MUCH BEFORE I COULD TALK ALL THIS ..she started crying...asking me why was i rude ..and what was matter with me..and stuff..she thanked me for not calling me on her Bday as my call would have spoilt her day..!!
NOW THAT WAS SO TRUE. But still my question was not being answered !!!!why do we celebrate Birthdays..??
Next day as i was reading "REIKI PRINCIPLES" the first one HIT ME in a new manner.
JUST FOR TODAY--BE IN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE
Yes bingo thatw as it ..GRATITUDE..celebrating birthday is a way of expressing gratitude to the existance, for making you exsist.what i did last one year isnt really important..when we enjoy our friends birthdays we are expressing our gratitudes too ..to the existance or universe or god ..for being given the company of a wonderful person. Saying Happy Birthday is about giving the recognition of ones existance.!! and one must really do it..
and as far oas development goes ..YES..i still stand firm. only when you evolve and develop does the whole exsistance evolves and developes.its a moral duty to be continiously trying to evolve and develop...may be then only can we really be in attitude of gratitude towards the whole universe..and the whole universe will also be grateful for making us exsist.
